If you are breastfeeding, pregnant or thinking about becoming pregnant, talk to your doctor before starting to take Phentermine. Its safety in pregnant women and infants has not been tested.
Phentermine is not recommended for use in children younger than age 16.
Phentermine should be used with caution in people who have certain diseases, such as:
- heart disease
- diabetes
- high blood pressure
- depression
- arteriosclerosis, also known as hardening of the arteries
- hyperthyroidism, also known as an overactive thyroid gland
- glaucoma
- history of drug abuse
